December 20, 2007 Many aspects of photography have changed with the transition from film to digital capture. Sometimes we find new things in old negatives, with the ability to experiment in a digital playground. "Time Travelers" Of course, we are the ones "traveling" to their time, but this image gives me the feeling of coming upon a family pulled out of their own time and dropped into ours (with their old car). They look a bit lost and out of place. Now, I am far from a mystic, and don't have any belief in ghosts or such things, but that doesn't mean I can't enjoy a fantasy! The visual arts are filled with great examples of dreams and imagination brought to a sort of reality on canvas or paper. I don't have the skill to render such thoughts as a painter, but it is fun to explore what I can do within the medium of photography, as expanded through digital manipulation.
