March 1, 2009I was hoping for some snow today, but didn't let the rain stop me from a bit of shooting.Snow can cover a humdrum landscape and make it more beautiful. Although it has a very different effect, rain can also add interest to ordinary objects, because of the ways that it reflects and refracts light. Weeds can become almost as attractive as cultivated flowers.
The daffodils have been going crazy for the last week or two, so although we may have a little carpet of snow by tomorrow morning, the weather is certainly in the middle of a dance between winter and spring. I would guess that within a few days I'll have a chance to do some more playing with fair weather things that I started a week ago, such as this "combat" between flower and tree: |
