Fun with Nature

I'm not going to try to write an essay on the nature of humor. I do think we sometimes project our own sense of humor onto what we find in nature. I had a little fun when I came upon some interesting shelf mushrooms.

Under the shade provided by a canopy of trees, there was a miniature canopy of mushrooms:

This strange "sculpture" invited examination from different perspectives:

In one view, I couldn't help seeing a dancing chicken!

OK, maybe it's just me, but it gave me a smile and a chuckle:
